We built eleven flows and then deleted six. What follows is what survived two years of trading.
## The five that matter
Welcome establishes what the product is for. Onboarding teaches first use, which is where refusal happens. Replenishment times itself from product size and household usage. The refill reminder is the profit engine. Lapsed asks one honest question and stops.
## Timing from usage, not from a calendar
Replenishment timing is calculated from the product bought and the household size stated at checkout, not from a fixed thirty days. Sending on a calendar means arriving early for half your customers and late for the other half.
## Keeping it quiet enough to work
A global frequency cap, campaign suppression for anyone in an active flow, and a rule that no flow may exceed four emails. The programme earns more when it says less, which is difficult to believe until you cap it.

- FrameworkA creative testing grid for paid socialTesting one variable at a time is too slow for paid social and testing everything at once teaches nothing. A grid of angle by format keeps it legible.
- FindingProduct page copy tests that actually moved revenueEleven product page tests across a year of trading in refillable home care. Four moved revenue per session, three moved add-to-cart but not revenue, and four did nothing worth keeping.
- PlaybookMigrating a subscription programme without losing subscribersWe moved 4,000 active refill subscriptions between platforms. Churn rose for two weeks and then settled below where it started. The communication plan did more work than the technical plan.
- ArticlePackaging decisions that set a brand before any advertisingFor a physical product, packaging is the largest brand surface you will ever buy. Ours made three decisions that we have never had to revisit, and one we should have made differently.
- ArticleLaunching a consumer brand in technical communitiesRefillable products attract sceptics who know the chemistry, the logistics and the greenwashing playbook. Launching where those people already talk was uncomfortable and better than any influencer push.
