We publish to an audience of engineers and operators. Tone is not a style preference for them; it is a credibility test.
## Say the constraint out loud
Name what your approach costs, where it does not apply, and what you would use instead in a different situation. A caveat does more for credibility in a technical community than any proof point, because it demonstrates you have actually done the thing.
## Answer the replies as yourself
If you post, stay for the thread and answer specifically, including when the answer is that you do not know. Communities forgive commercial interest far more readily than they forgive a brand account that posts and leaves.

- ResourceContent brief template for search-led articlesThe brief we use before writing anything: the query, the reader's actual job, what the current results get wrong, the evidence we can bring that nobody else has, and the single action the page should earn.
- ArticleDistribution is the job, production is the easy partWe spent two years improving what we made and almost nothing on where it went. Reversing that ratio changed our readership more than any change to the writing did.
- GuideFounder-led social without becoming a content creatorFounders do not need a posting schedule. They need three recurring subjects they know better than anyone, and a way to capture what they already say in meetings.
- ArticleDocument ads: what to put in the first two pagesThe first two pages decide whether anyone reads page three, and page three is where most people put the substance. Reversing that order is the whole trick.
- PlaybookGetting a quarter of material out of one shootOne shoot day, planned for reuse, produces a main film, four short cuts, a set of stills and a written piece. Planned for one film, it produces one film.
